RAINBOW YOUTHS NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER ACTIVITIES
Lexington Assembly #37, International Order of the Rainbow for Girls would like
to welcome their latest initiate Nicole into the Assembly. I would like to thank our Sister Assemblies for their help and support with the initiation
Perhaps you know a worthy young lady that would benefit and enrich her life by becoming involved as a member of the local Assembly. Aside from regular meetings on the second and fourth Fridays of the month, except during July and August, they map out, plan and enjoy many varied activities geared towards civic service, fund raising and State and International sponsored events. Rainbow provides a wholesome, positive environment where each member can grow, developing confidence and self esteem.
In the month of November, aside from the Initiation, the girls planned to go to Chunky’s in Nashua, NH, to have dinner and see a movie. On the 13th we paid a visit to Billerica Assembly to help out with their evening activities. On the 20th they are attending the Rainbow Ball being held at the Manor in West Boylston. On the 27th, they will be taking a day trip into Boston to do some shopping in Haymarket Square and on the 28/29th they will be selling and decorating Christmas wreathes for the Holidays.
This year’s statewide project is to donate to The Cradles to Crayons program to help under privileged children. They accept your donations of new and gently-used clothing, books, toys, baby items, and school supplies for kids age 0 to 12.
Masonic Hall will be open from 10am to 3 pm for anyone who would like to drop off a donation. (www.cradlestocrayons.org )
In the month of December the girls will attend a statewide initiation in Boston at the Grand Lodge Building, followed by dinner and a dance. On the 6th, They will be helping out Simon W Robinson lodge with their children’s Holiday Party and on the 13th they will be going to Edaville Railroad for the day.
Rainbow membership is open to any girl between the ages of 11 and 21 years, and Pledge membership from ages 9-10. Our teachings reinforce and bolster self esteem, religious beliefs, service to the community, and patriotism. They nurture self respect and develop leadership qualities through planning, organizing and running the various activities.
